TANDEM meets JAPAN CONNECTION FESTIVAL 2021 - LE CHOC DU FUTUR
JAPAN CONNECTION FESTIVAL has been held alternately in Paris and Tokyo as a Franco-Japanese cultural exchange event, focusing on Japanese electronic music and digital art “discovered” by young French DJs. In spite of the covid-19 pandemic that has restricted international traffic, this year’s event will feature a spectacular combination of live performances by Buffalo Daughter Yumiko Ohno Solo set and OLAibi, and a livestream from Paris by MIDORI (MENACE) and at the venue by Midori Aoyama (EUREKA!, Tokyo) as DJs. The event will be held to a limited number of audience at the venue and by streaming distribution in Japan and to the world.
【POSSION HeADS】
“TANDEM” is a concert project launched in October 2016 and organized by our company, the French Embassy in Japan / Institut Français du Japon, Délégation générale du Québec à Tokyo, the Embassy of Belgium in Japan and others. The aim of the project is to promote long-term cultural exchange through music between the French-speaking countries and Japan, with artists from both sides performing together in Japan and in the French-speaking countries. To date, around 20 concerts have been held in Japan and abroad.
