In the pursuit of self-expression through improvisation, this time we will hold a live performance and record the performance for the purpose of packaging it as a single work. A session will also be held after the live performance to provide an opportunity to deepen exchanges through music with the audience, and to connect with each other to make new discoveries and form personal connections.
After the project period, the recordings and videos will be widely released as promotional materials on the Internet (free of charge on SNS and video distribution sites, etc.) to raise awareness of the project’s future activities.
Takumi Nakanowatari
Born in Towada City, Aomori Prefecture. He was exposed to drums at the age of 13, and taught himself about drums until he graduated from college. After entering Tokyo University of Agriculture, he became interested in jazz through a club at the university. He played in many sessions with various players at bars in Tokyo and other places. After graduating from the university, he has participated as a drummer in “accord on codes,” a jazz arrangement group for game music, and “Unplugged Jam Proud,” a live hiphop group, among others. As an individual, he has been active in live performances and sessions focusing on post-classical and improvised music.
