Outline

Based on research of historical materials, the story of Taira no Atsumori from The Tale of the Heike, the history of the battle between Minamoto no Yoritomo and The Northern Fujiwara family, and stories of WWII overlap to depict universal human emotions and societies that transcend time, and that we can still relate to today. The cast comprises a total of 13 people, the largest since the company was established. The story is presented on a grand scale through interactive stage design and physical expression, including the bodies and sword fights of the actors moving here and there around the stage with the use of props, and the large-scale stage setting modeled after the Konjikido Golden Hall of Chuson-ji Temple.
