Drawn by the clearcut biological way of life seen in a variety of organisms in the wild and the forms this takes, Ida explores circuits by which to project these onto her dance activities. This is the second chapter in the series Species, a project in which Ida shifts her perspective to human beings who have lost their wildness (ie the dominance of instinct), and considers on a physical level the self and the state of the ego in the vessel of the human body. In this work, Arche collaborates with contemporary artist Maki Ohkojima on the theme of “dynamic equilibrium.”
