Outline

This project was launched to pursue a new style of jazz with wind instrument formations. The aim is for performance that communicates the appeal of a symphonic jazz orchestra, something which can only be achieved with a big band using a wide variety of instruments. Organizers use professional artists working in various fields such as jazz performance, studio work and orchestra, and works by specialist jazz composers to put together concerts that can only be performed by a full-fledged jazz brass band.

Okuma Music Wind Roots Planning
Specializing in wind and percussion instruments, Okuma Music was established in August 2020. Its activities include event planning, concert management, production, and sales. The company aims to hold progressive events by developing highly specialized projects in the form of brass band and wind ensembles. Wind Roots Planning was set up as part of Okuma Music in 2022 as a division in charge of the operation of the Wind Roots concert series. Spearheaded by Keisuke Masu, the division handles concert planning, operation, and management. In addition to the 1st Regular Concert in December 2022, it also held joint concerts in 2022 and 2023 with Higashiyamato Wind Orchestra. For the 2023 Symphonic Jazz & Pops Contest, it assisted with administration and management etc. related to guest appearances.
