Outline

The flower art festival TOKYO FLOWERS was held over two and a half months, comprising events organized by TOKYO FLOWERS and other participating projects. TOKYO FLOWERS-organized events included “TOKYO FLOWER CARPET” on Gyoko-dori street, and “Kids Flower Road” created by students from Tokyo Metropolitan special needs schools. Participating projects such as “Tokyo Infiorata” were held at 10 venues across Tokyo.

Artists: Yasuhiko Fujikawa (flower painter/general supervisor), Nobuo Sugino (pressed flower artist/organizer of the exhibition “Arts and Crafts to Enjoy Flowers and Greenery”), Takeshi Sato (paint artist/original picture designer), momoco (painter/original picture designer), Ken Shiozaki (nihonga Japanese-style painter/ original picture designer), Ed Sheeran (musician/art collaboration), SEO MIJI (illustrator/original picture designer), Shigeto Fujinuma (designer/original picture designer), others

【Hanae Cultural Association(HANAE JAPAN)】
Established in October 2016 with the aim of creating a culture of drawing with flowers and spreading flower painting culture.
In addition to organizing events, notably TOKYO FLOWER CARPET and OSAKA FLOWER CARPET, the Association engages in socially minded projects including the recycling of used flower material and art education for children with disabilities using recycled paper.
It also proactively engages in creative projects overseas and is invited to international events around the world to represent Japan with the creation of flower-based works.
The Association currently broadcasts the regular program “Flower’s YELL” on the FM station “interfm.”
