Event features
・Practice a melody that many people are familiar with so that even those who play the shakuhachi for the first time can enjoy it.
・Rental of musical instruments is provided free of charge so that students can come learn casually.
・Prepare a mouthpiece that makes it easier for people who can’t make sounds to enjoy it.
・Instructor Akikazu Nakamura’s special field of practice, an ancient Japanese breathing method called “Missoku”, will be included so that those who want to experience the breathing method can also experience the shakuhachi. Therefore, we believe that the window for recruiting experience will expand.
・By doing hands-on activities in groups, students will feel the enjoyment of playing music with friends who have the same interests, which will lead to easier continuation.

Publicity methods for the recruitment of participants (collaboration, cooperation, networking, etc.)
・Make flyers that you can pick up by displaying them at concerts or at musical instrument stores.
・Request and post posters at stations where more people come and go. (Shinjuku Station, Meidaimae Station, Hachimanyama Station)
・PR using SNS. (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

Ways to enable participants to continue with practical skills experience (other than programs covered by this grant) after the end of the event
・Some people become more interested in the shakuhachi after the Shakuhachi experience class, and continue to attend lessons.
Since consistency is desirable, a new group lesson for beginners has been added to the regular lesson.
・In addition, we have set up a free admission benefit for participants of last year’s shakuhachi class. We are thinking about some special benefits for Shakuhachi experience class participants this year as well.
・A wide range of songs that can be played with the shakuhachi, such as shakuhachi music, as well as pop music and movie music used in the shakuhachi experience class, are incorporated into lessons.
・In April after the trial session, a review session will be held under Akikazu Nakamura. At this concert, not only shakuhachi but also a variety of performances such as biwa and piano duets are presented every year. I want it to be one of the triggers.
