Description: Festival Condiotion vol.1-Kabuki was a festival presided over by Human Condition Theater, in which four young theater groups each performed an adaptation of Kabuki at BUoY. One person from each organization was dispatched to be in charge of production, and a committee was organized to produce the theater festival, creating a co-creative festival by young theater groups. With the concept of “Encounter and Sharing”, the festival went beyond the presentation of productions to create encounters unique to the festival and to enliven the young theater world, including workshops for a wide range of presidents of young theater groups and the setting a place where artists and audience members could talk after seeing the works. This commemorative first event was intended to be an opportunity for the culture of Kabuki and the various groups to meet and think about the conditions of contemporary theater. The four works to be performed are “Yotsuya Shinju” by Human Condition Theater, “Kumano Hitchhike Guide” by Allergen Theater, “Sun, Steel and Tweezers” by PEPEPE no KAI, and “Ogres Enchanted” by Hoshipro.
