Outline

Japanese composers have gambled on their own sense of identity and purpose in their artistic creation, confronting the political, economic and societal events of the 20th century, and sometimes questioning and resisting history and tradition.
The four orchestral works included in this concert were written with a social perspective and still carry a clear message that appeals to today’s society, and they also wonderfully demonstrate the musical individuality and talent of each composer.
