It is thought that double-speed playback on video streaming sites and the emergence of so-called shorts on social media etc. in recent years will likely have a major impact on the future of music.
This concert featured performances of new pieces commissioned from living composers (Nozomu Kaneda, Masamichi Kinoshita, Tatsuro Nakajima, Yuya Haryu, and Daiko Fujikawa), comprising four new pieces for flute and electronics and one revised premiere piece for flute and soprano. The flutist was Seira Murakami, and the soprano was Saho Toyotani.
Seira Murakami
Graduated from Yamagata University, Music Art Course, and completed the master’s course in flute at Kunitachi College of Music, Graduate School of Music, Kunitachi College of Music. She has studied flute under Sugawara Hisae, Sakuma Yumiko, and Yoshioka Jiro. She received her diploma from the master class of Ms. Gisler-Haase, Barbara at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
She won the first prize in the general category of the 22nd Choko Cup International Music Competition.
She has been active in sound recording for TV commercials, visiting performances, and ceremonial performances. She has been actively performing contemporary music concerts organized by herself.
