This is the first solo exhibition for Oh Hey Do, a trio that creates animation works in a studio near Tamagawa River.
The group organized this exhibition to create a space for the intersection of the Oh Hey Do studio – the place where the trio develops its creations – and the world of “The Countryside Planet,” the group’s first short animation which is currently in production.
The exhibition features production materials for “The Countryside Planet,” a zone where visitors can get a hands-on experience of a scene from the animation, areas recreating the Oh Hey Do studio and the room of a character from the animation, and more.
With “The Countryside Planet,” Oh Hey Do hopes to affirm the existence of things often overlooked as “meaningless and wasteful” in today’s increasingly efficient, control-focused and smooth-running society.

The group aims to create works that affirm the existence of things often overlooked as “meaningless and wasteful” in today’s increasingly efficient society.
As well as animation production, Oh Hey Do has also formed a unit with the desire to explore more female-friendly working environments going forward.
