Midori Miyamori
A performance artist who creates works that act as something other than herself. She is interested in how performers encounter others through their bodies and change their bodies as they do or say things they would not normally do or say, creating works that delineate this process.
Her works include the performance series “Paraphrase,” in which actors imitate recorded footage of interviews, and “Trace a Day,” a performance replicating interviews with medical interns about their daily schedule. In recent years her activities have included performing the touring piece “The clock out of step” as part of the Roppongi Art Night program ( Roppongi, Tokyo 2023); performances of “Trace a Day vol.01 Medical Intern” @SCOOL (Mitaka, Tokyo 2023); and the solo exhibition “(mis)Understand”＠BUoY (Kitasenju, Tokyo 2022).
