Outline

A film festival will be held in Shinjuku, Tokyo, bringing together documentary footage that transcends the boundaries of television, film, and internet footage. The aim was to discover and foster new filmmakers as a “new gateway to documentary filmmaker” At the same time, we introduced a wide range of documentary films that are rarely screened to the audience, with a focus on anthropology and folklore films, as well as premiere screenings and special screenings of unknown artists. The aim was to create a “culture of viewing documentaries” and expand opportunities by sharing documentary footage that records the world around us between audiences and artists through screening opportunities and talks, and mutual criticism.
