Long Term Lesson Program

This core program takes place over an extended time period and aims to provide in-depth experience in traditional performing arts. Detailed instruction is provided over the course 16 lessons, with classes geared to different age ranges. At the end of the program, participants give a performance on a professional stage.
(Placement in classes is determined by the program office roughly according to school grade. Applicants cannot select their classes.)

Participation fee

15,000 yen
*Additional costs: about 10,000 to 20,000 yen (covers purchase of/usage fees for teaching materials, instruments, costumes, etc.) Costs vary depending on the course. Detailed information will be provided in the “Course Procedure Guidelines” sent to prospective participants.
*Your participation fee cannot be refunded if you decline or cancel participation after paying the fee by bank deposit. Thank you for your understanding.

*A drawing will be held if the number of applications exceeds capacity.
*All applicants will be notified of the results around Tuesday, August 30.
Prospective participants will receive the “Course Procedure Guidelines” by the same contact method they used to apply.
Those who return the form and deposit the participation fee by Thursday, September 8 will receive a “Certificate of Participation.”

*A “lesson launch” opening ceremony will be held at the National Noh Theatre on the morning of Saturday, September 24.

Parent-child day

Parents can join in the practice on this special day. In actually experiencing the training, they may realize it’s a lot more difficult, surprising and fun than they’d imagined.
Come and share in the traditional performing arts experience with your child! (One adult family member can participate.)
