Art project Tokyo, Soup, Blanket and Travelogue set up by Shirotama Hitsujiya is moving to the next level with the latest “Taidan Kikou” Round table session. Ekoda is another neighborhood where the new is replacing the old as its streetscape slowly changes.
Residential buildings stand where the market used to be, and those of us who knew Ekoda before are baffled by the design of urban development. We feel inundated as we grapple with how to surmount and digest changes in the world, and deal with the transition around us.
For this edition we’re moving to former noodle shop Kinoene in Ekoda. Our guests will be Satoshi Arai who was born in Aogashima, and Ekoda born playwright Natsuki Ishigami. Anybody interested in Tokyo’s present and future, or “endings” is welcome to join this talk.
