Artpoint Meeting #07 Using the media for expanding projects

Genre:
  • Art Project

Artpoint Meeting #07 Using the media for expanding In order to spread roots in the community, involve a variety of people and develop a flourishing art project, it is important to have media channels for sharing project aspirations and ideas. Today when the means of relaying information are diversifying and becoming saturated, how should information on small-scale projects/activities be communicated and shared?

This time around our guests are Wakana Mori, editor of local life magazine Hinagata, and communications planner Kazue Nakata. How does a media organization editorial department focusing on communities and people plan, cover/report, choose words and operate? And when designing communication across an organization, how do you formulate the medium and content for conveying information? We will hear from each guest regarding specific practices and perspectives and think about the creative use of the media unique to art projects.
