Thought, Skill and Dialogue: Briefing

Genre:
  • Art Project ,
  • Others

A briefing will be held for the Basic Program beginning in June.

Structured over a three-year period to provide the basic “thought”, “skill” and “dialogue” capabilities needed for art project work, this academic year sees the start of the Basic Program’s Thought and Skill modules. This year-round program is aimed at people intending to get involved in art project administration.
The Thought module trains up the ability to look at social trends and consider the sort of projects needed, as well as the systems required. The Skill module, which primarily targets graduates of the Thought module, will strengthen the ability to execute the necessary aspects of art project operation, such as the practical business of setting up meetings and running the site, archiving records and business evaluation, etc.

As well as a detailed introduction of program contents and features, the briefing will include a talk session by guest Seiichi Saito. Please feel free to come along.

Thought Skill and Dialogue is being run as part of Tokyo Art Research Lab (TARL), which was established for the purpose of art project research and human resource cultivation. As well as the year-round Basic Program providing skills needed to get art projects off the ground, TARL provides learning opportunities for creating art projects with its Introductory Program focusing on an overview of art, and a short-term Intensive Course on practical themes.
