Over 16 days from October 5 through October 20, 2024, ACKT (Art Center Kunitachi) project organizers will hold the art event Kunitachi Art Center 2024. Visitors can encounter artworks and artists at a total of 18 stores, galleries, cafes, showcases/show windows etc. across Kunitachi City as well as in Kokubunji and Tachikawa.
This year marks the fifth edition of Kunitachi Art Center (KAC). A unique range of locations are participating in the event, including ZEIT-FOTO kunitachi, which has a photographic collection assembled by founder Etsuro Ishihara, responsible for introducing Japan’s leading photographers to the world; Fujimidai Tunnel, a shared commercial and coworking space located in the Fujimidai Danchi shopping district; STUDIO 322 run by a photographer and illustrator trio; and Gallery Yukihara, which focuses on special exhibitions of contemporary art. These locations will be exhibiting work by 36 artists with connections to Kunitachi City and the Tama area. The program includes related events such as tours, talk events and workshops as well as a stamp rally, allowing visitors to enjoy arts and culture as they stroll around an area renowned for its autumn colors.
