Outline

The Takeda Hiroko Solo Exhibition “Into the forest” was held at Gallery Concept 21 in Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku. A total of 23 works were presented in the exhibition under the themes of “material and its language” and “the relationship with space.” The works encompassed a combination of diverse materials used in Nihonga (Japanese) painting, includin g washi paper and dyes, natural mineral pigments, and gold and silver leaf. To coincide with the exhibition, an art book providing an overview of Takeda’s works to date was produced and distributed, as well as an exhibition catalogue with critical commentary.

1983 Born in Tokyo.2012 Tokyo University of the Arts,Conservation of Cultual assets of Japanese paintings,PhD. Graduation thesis and accompanying art was purchased by the Nomura Art Prize and housed in The University of the Art Museum.2013 Studied in China,research funds provided by Pola Art Foundation grant for overseas study by young artists.
