By “fabricating” a fictitious theatrical performance from all aspects, the group created the “experience” of “missing a masterpiece.”
In addition, by not only fabricating the performance but the riot that occurred in the audience, and by getting extras recruited from the audience to post scenes of the riot on social media, the group created an actual “Battle of Hernani” by means of modern media, incorporating the online environment and social media discussion space as part of the work.

Profile

【Paper Company Project】

We produce everything around the theatre performance except the performance piece itself. Eg: flyers, the website, teasers ,stage photos, and reviews.

Are the archive materials for a non-existent performance equivalent to those of one you missed?

We aim to chart a new form of theatrical experience and look at the irreversibility of the performing arts by locking down live performances, and providing the materials for audiences to experience an unperformed piece.
