This is a musical based on Dostoevsky’s novel “Crime and Punishment” with the setting moved to a present-day Japanese city. This theater-based tryout follows a reading performance of the work. The aim of the work is to reconsider the original work’s themes of justice, crime, family, love etc. in a contemporary Japanese context.
