Outline

Hasuka Kozue creates and stages theater on the theme of the alleviation of the stifled feelings of people in contemporary society. Specifically, he portrays people who are no good at working out their differences with others, expressing dysfunctional communication, the breakdown and realignment of human relationships, etc. as lighthearted and whimsical drama.

Profile

Hasuka Kozue
Born in 1993. For three years from 2017 he assisted with theater workshops designed for high school students at Iwaki Alios. Around this time, he began writing plays there was no way of performing. In 2019 in Sendai he established Yusei D. In June 2021, the inaugural performance of “The Overnight Struggle” was held at Yamagata One-coin Theatre Festival W.
While currently working at a publishing company in Tokyo, he is participating in Jimbocho PARA’s Theater Course. His favorite writer is Edward Gorey.
