Kids Program vol.3: It’s Pipe Cleaner Craft time!

Genre:
  • Kids / Youth ,
  • Art Project ,
  • Workshop

Children on remote islands rarely get the opportunity to engage with the worlds of culture. The Kids Program changes that. Bringing in artists from a wide variety of genres, the Program offers workshops where kids and their parents can see, learn, make, and discover new things!

In addition to bolstering parent-child bonds, the event also aims to help participants develop a more dynamic imagination and a broader perspective on the world. Another key feature of the event is its multigenerational makeup, which serves to create a new, diverse network for the future of the island by connecting parents of different ages, people born and raised on Izu Ōshima, people making their way back to the island, and people coming to the island for the first time.

For Volume 3 of the Kids Program, workshop participants will be building their very own colorful pipe cleaner monsters. Combining colors, shapes, and ideas into creative, one-of-a-kind monsters: the possibilities are endless when you let your imagination run wild!
