12class Release Event

- On 12class Island -

Genre:
  • Art Project

12class is a free paper that showcases the way of life on Izu Oshima.
To celebrate the release of Volume 22 of 12class in December, the publishers have organized an event featuring an exhibition, an interview with a special guest, and more.
Volume 22 is the first 12class release in two years, making this a timely opportunity to look back on how the paper has grown, revisit hallmark articles, and rediscover the rich, captivating character of the Izu Oshima life.

Joining the festivities for a special interview is Masafumi Kamada, who works in the editorial office at 0470-, a free paper that focuses on life in the Boso area of Chiba Prefecture. From ideas for framing local appeal to tips on translating the unique personality of a community into the free paper format, Kamada will share a wide variety of valuable wisdom.

The event will also feature a menu of original dishes made with island-grown vegetables, tying into the feature on Izu Oshima farmers in the latest issue of 12class. With the delicious tastes of the island bringing the attendees together, the night will provide a unique chance to hear from a specialist in the field and explore the possibilities of local media.
