Music Education Program
“Let’s Make an Opera!” Kids & Youth Workshop (3): Production

Study the stage! (Direction, stage setting, costume, lighting, production)

This workshop teaches you the overall flow of staging a performance, through involvement in onsite performing arts production from the preparation stage onwards with the professionals, and taking part in the process from rehearsal to performance.

This program, in collaboration with the Opera Box “The Magic Flute”, is conducted as a part of Music Education Program aiming to cultivate personnel in the field of arts.

Course 1
Sunday, June 16 – Sunday, September 4 2016
You can participate in the planner’s meeting.
Recommended for those who are interested in the process of opera production.

Course 2
Tuesday, July 26 – Sunday, September 4 2016
Recommended for those who have interest in learning the process from preparation to performance within the short period.

*The dates above is a part of the workshop schedule. You will also participate in other planner’s meetings, chorus/acting workshops etc.

Eligible participants

・age 18 to 25
*If you are not age 18 to 25, please ask “Let’s Make an Opera” desk for further consultation.
・University/college students
・Those studying stage design (setting, costume, lighting) or art management at school or any other institutions, or would-be stage designers and producers

Entry requirement

People able to attend from the advance preparatory period through to the performance.

2,000 yen (tax included)

  1. Please download and fill in the Application form（PDF） and mail it to the address below. Please include a reply-paid envelope with a stamp of 82 yen and the participant’s name and address.
  2. All applicants will be notified of the results by mail. And the participants will be receive a letter about the payment.
  3. Please read the letter carefully and make a payment via bank transfer. After we confirmed the payment, the participants will receive the additional documents and preparatory requirements.
