A new world through music for everyone from infants to adults to discover
Noted European music institution Casa da Música (Portugal) and Tokyo Bunka Kaikan have joined forces to offer participatory workshops for everyone from children to adults.

The Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Music Workshop came about through the desire to provide as many people as possible with an easier and more casual way to experience the joys of music. The aim of this initiative is for the workshops to raise participants’ awareness and interest in music and the arts, and broaden their hearts and minds by fostering abilities in self expression and communication. By giving everyone from children to adults the opportunity to experience the joys of music across all genres, these workshops constitute an educational program that seeks to nurture creativity and collaboration through participatory, hands-on music projects.

The majority of performers in this program comprise people chosen as Tokyo Bunka Kaikan workshop leaders after studying under the Workshop Leader Education Program (a collaborative international project with Casa da Música), and further honing their skills in Tokyo and Portugal.
