Let’s Make an Opera! Make things for the stage set!

In conjunction with Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Opera BOX “The Magic Flute”, we offer a workshop for chorus, acting and stage crafts and construction. Come join this popular program in which children try their hand at real opera!

Program: Participants will observe the dress rehearsal of the play.

*Each session is a complete, self-contained workshop.
*Only those who have participated in the workshop may observe the dress rehearsal.
(Dress rehearsal observation is free of charge.)

Participants

Students from 1st year through 6th year of elementary school

Entry requirements

Must be able to attend on any specified date.
*Parents/caregivers of participants in 4th year elementary school or below are asked to accompany children to/from the venue.

Participation fee

500 yen

Number of participants
30-40 participants per workshop
*To be decided by lottery if oversubscribed.

Application period
Wednesday, June 1 to Thursday, June 30 2016
*Application must be arrived by June 30.

Result of lottery
Applicants will be notified of the results of the lottery in mid June by mail.

How to apply

  1. Please download and fill in the Application form（PDF） and mail it to the address below. Please include a reply-paid envelope with a stamp of 82 yen and the participant’s name and address.
  2. All applicants will be notified of the results by mail. And the participants will be receive a letter about the payment.
  3. Please read the letter carefully and make a payment via bank transfer. After we confirmed the payment, the participants will receive the additional documents and preparatory requirements.
