Everyone from infants to adults will discover a whole new world through music
Tokyo Bunka Kaikan’s music workshop program was born out of the desire to get more people enjoying the wonder of music in more casual and accessible ways.
The aim of the initiative is to nurture a generosity and richness of spirit through participatory workshops that foster self expression and communication skills, in the process raising awareness and interest in music and the arts.
Tokyo Bunka Kaikan’s workshops constitute a participatory education program open to anyone from children to adults. In this program people develop their creativity and spirit of cooperation while they experience the fun of genre-transcending music.

Musica Piccola
Today’s the concert you’ve all been waiting for! Play some amazing music together with the maestro.

How Do You Do, Classical Music? Brass Quintet
See, hear and experience music in a hands-on concert
13:00-14:00 Participants: 3-6 years old(preschoolers) and his/her family members
Venue: Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Recital Hall
Performers: Ayako Noguchi (Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Workshop Leader), Noriyuki Noro (Trumpet) and others

One Day Session
Sing and play instruments in a Japanese setting
15:00-16:30 Participants: Elementary school children to adults
Venue: Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Recital Hall
Capacity: about 40
Performers: Emi Isono, Ayako Noguchi, Nobutaka Yoshizawa, Akiko Watanabe (Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Workshop Leader)

Request to Parents and Guardians

Each workshop is designed for a specific age range. Please refrain from bringing small children other than the workshop participants (such as siblings), as the presence of children of other ages will hinder the progress of the workshop.

About workshop participation

  • Please come to the reception with the participants.
  • Participants should be the required age on the day of the event.
  • Reception will open 30 minutes before each session.
  • Meeting place is Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Recital Hall foyer. 
  • There will be no admission once the event has started so please allow enough time.

*Please note you may be filmed or photographed during the workshops.
