Workshop 1 - Be a character in an opera! (children chorus)

Your work will create the world of the opera!

This workshop includes training not only in singing but also in acting, as well in stage etiquette for performers, to prepare participants to perform in a real opera with make-up and costumes. Above all, it’s a valuable opportunity to perform together with some of today’s leading singers. The aim of the workshop is to nurture future artists and audience members, and expand the base of music enthusiasts, by offering a chance to experience teamwork and the joy of artistic activity while learning about music and acting.

Program

Bizet: Carmen (4 acts; sung in Japanese) – Highlights version

Number of participants / Entry requirements *The deadline for receipt of applications has passed.

Number of participants: about 20
*To be decided by lottery if there are many applicants

Participants: Students from elementary grade 1st to high school 3rd year

Entry requirement: Must be able to attend on all of the specified dates
