In addition to cast members, opera production involves planners and staff people working in a variety of areas including production and stage design, costumes, and lighting. Mainly through shared experience of the “behind the scenes” production process, this workshop aims to foster awareness and acquisition of necessary on-site skills which cannot be gained through knowledge and technique alone. By pitching your own ideas to experienced planners (“If it were me, I’d propose this plan!”), you can give life to your theoretical ideas and perhaps make a valuable contribution to your creative activity.
