Discover a whole new world broadening with music across all ages—from infants to adults

Tokyo Bunka Kaikan’s music workshop program was born out of the desire to get more people enjoying the wonder of music in more casual and accessible ways. The aim of the initiative is to nurture generosity and richness of spirit through participatory workshops that foster self expression and communication skills, and raise awareness and interest in music and the arts.
Tokyo Bunka Kaikan’s workshops are participatory education programs open to anyone from children to adults. In them, people will develop their creativity and spirit of cooperation while they experience the joy of genre transcending music.

Sunday, June 17

Nyao nyao! Chu chu!
Join Cat, Mouse, and other participants to plant the seeds of music!

10:30-11:30 (Check-in: 10:00-10:20)
Participants: 19-35 months old (Parents/caregivers: up to 2)
12:00-13:00 (Check-in: 11:30-11:50)
Participants: 3-4 years old (Parents/caregivers: up to 1)
Capacity: about 20 each session

with My Baby
Have a relaxing time with your baby in your tummy and enjoy singing together!

Space Travel
Space travel with music—Let’s go out for star tour!

Participants: 5-6 years old (pre-school children) (Parents/caregivers: up to 1)

Body, Sound, Sing
Your voice and Everyone’s voice, Your tone and Everyone’s tone.
Find the only music you can’t find anywhere else, created with various sounds.

Request to Parents and Guardians

Each workshop is designed for a specific age range. Please refrain from bringing small children other than the workshop participants (such as siblings), as the presence of children of other ages will hinder the progress of the workshop.

About workshop participation

  • Please enter at the stage door right in front of Park Exit of JR Ueno Station. Workshop staffs will escort you to the reception desk. There is no access from the main entrance of the theater.
  • Check-in will start 30 minutes prior to the designated start time. Allow enough time between arrival and the check-in which requires some time for event insurance registration (the fee is included in the ticket) and for moving to the rehearsal room.
  • The admission ages are determined as of the actual date of the event.
  • Nursing room is available. (only classes for 19-35 months)
  • Photography and video recording may occur during the workshop.
  • Due to unavoidable circumstances, all workshop programs are subject to last-minute changes and cancellations.
  • Nursery service will be available. (There is a charge for service. Advanced reservation required.) Nursery Service Mother’s: 0120-788-222
