Eichan Club (Film memory ‘champon’ club) Fes 2: “Sprouting from the grassroots”

Comprising mainly members in their 70s who had no experience of shooting film or video before, Eichan Club (Film memory ‘champon’ club) is a series of workshops where members learn about video production from scratch, experiencing, making and enjoying film together. This year, we are holding a screening of all the film and video works created over two years of the club’s activity.
Participants have encountered a new means of expression in film, eagerly absorbing the skills of film making, and expressing the world that matters to each of them through unique and distinctive works in a variety of styles such as documentaries, comedies and promotional videos. During the event, members and audiences will also have the opportunity to chat. Please come savor this collection of works, in which the lives of individual members are exquisitely intertwined with the sensibility and individuality generated over the course of their lives.

The event will include a screening of a recommended movie, allowing film aficionado members to convey the fun of watching movies as well as making them. The world of film is a wonderland with delights ranging from fantasy to documentary. Films are encounters with the unknown, the philosophy of life. Movies give you six times the pleasure when you multiply the triple pleasure of making them with the double pleasure of watching them. Movies are your companion. Welcome to Eichan Club!
