This is an education program operated in collaboration with a cultural institution that leads the way overseas in educational activities
The aim of this education program is to foster abilities in self-expression and communication while raising awareness and interest in music and the arts, as well as to create workshops that pave the way for solutions to social issues, and to nurture human resources for the important role of leading workshop participants.
Guest instructors from Casa da Música, the international leader in this field, will teach the approach and attitudes required of a workshop leader, the necessary facilitation for music workshops, and workshop creation knowhow. In addition, having direct experience of the process of creating and implementing a workshop will cultivate the ability as leaders to respond to a range of possible on-the-job situations.
Workshop leaders need not only musical skills, but the communication skills to build a relationship of trust with participants. They also need to be broadminded and engage enthusiastically in activities that contribute to society. This educational program provides the opportunity to understand the social role of music workshops, and the learnings necessary to becoming an excellent leader.
This workshop is part of the Music Education Program “Workshop Workshop! Collaborative International Project.”
