Music Education Program: Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Music Workshop in Tachikawa

Four programs will be held over the course of two days!

Tokyo Bunka Kaikan is teaming up with Casa da Música, a music institution in Portugal that hosts activities to spread the latest education overseas, to debut the Music Education Program in Tachikawa! This participation-style educational program fosters cooperation and creativity, offering participants the opportunity to experience the joy of music that transcends genres.

Program

“World Music Adventure”
Join two explorers and John, their trusty dog, on a world music expedition!

Saturday, November 28 2015 (1)10:30 (6-18 months old), (2)13:00 (19 months old – 3 years old)
Sunday, November 29 2015 (3)11:00 (4-6 years old; preschoolers)

“Nouvelle Cuisine”
What do you get when you mix a dash of sound with a dollop of rhythm? A musical feast! Transform your everyday kitchen supplies into an orchestra of fun.

“Crack open treasure box in the sea”
Deep, deep down at the bottom of a musical ocean are three treasure chests—and the keys to the chests are inside you. Get ready to sing and dance those chests open!

Each workshop is designed for a specific age range. Please refrain from bringing small children other than the workshop participants (such as siblings), as the presence of children of other ages will hinder the progress of the workshop. *Persons accompanying workshop participants must be junior high school age or older.
