Seeking members with backgrounds overseas to create “films of the city” in various locations around Tokyo

Workshop #2 will take place in Katsushika
Join us and walk around the city with various people, and leave what you find there as a film made with your own hands.

This project tours various areas of Tokyo, and hosting workshops on these sites, aims to create a documentary film. The #2 field is “Katsushika”. If you live there now, used to live there, have friends there, went to school there, have a favorite store there, or, even if you have never been there, or don’t know much about the area… you are all welcome to join us. Whether you are new to a town or already familiar with it, your perspective is sure to change as you walk around with new acquaintances.

About the workshop

Members, through a four-day workshop (the first will be held online), will reflect on their own backgrounds in various ways, using photography, video, and audio, while walking through the city. Forming groups with other people from various backgrounds, we will collectively discuss and cooperate with each other to create a short film. On the final day of the workshop, a screening will be held to showcase the works produced by each participant.

*In response to the COVID-19 situation: activities will be conducted in small groups, and fieldwork, shoots, etc. will be conducted avoiding close contact. Depending on the situation, we may decide to switch how the workshops are held between face-to-face and online.
*Program contents are subject to change.
