Seeking participants! Finding plants and other raw materials for dyeing cloth the colors of the island!

What color would common leaves and branches on the island dye a piece of cloth? What color would a piece of cloth become if we used hot spring water or the ash from a woodburning stove? This is a dyeing workshop by artist Aiko Yamamoto for dyeing cloth the colors of the island using plants and minerals found while walking around the island. Join us to explore the colors of the island in two workshops: the two-day “Finding the colors of the island,” aimed at junior high and high school students, and “Enjoy dyeing with plants,” which anyone can participate in.
