“A Frame”: A stage performance by dancers and creators born in the 1990s from Japan and Asia
– directed by oguri from s**t kingz, Jillian Meyers, and Takuro Suzuki –
The90sJPN, a collective of dancers who was born in the 1990s and took the world by storm as “super kids” and defeated champion after champion at dance battles around the world, recently completed a tour of Hanoi and Bangkok in March 2015 as part of DANCE DANCE ASIA (co-organized by the Japan Foundation Asia Center and PARCO Co., Ltd.). Having fostered deeper connections with the Asian community through these stirring performances, The90sJPN formed “The90sASIA”—a group of top-level dancers from throughout Southeast Asia—and spent two full weeks getting the collaborative “A Frame” production ready for its world premiere in Shibuya. The performance will be directed by three exciting artists: oguri from s**t kingz, a dance crew that travels the world dazzling audiences not only with their captivating dance skills and but also through their sophisticated choreography, Jillian Meyers, a dancer who has choreographed performances by Janet Jackson, and Condors dance company member Takuro Suzuki, a choreographer, performer, and actor who has used his youthful, creative energy to draw attention from both the theater and dance circles.
