In the lead-up to 2020, Arts Council Tokyo will enhance opportunities for as many Tokyoites as possible to participate in the Tokyo Cultural Program. To this end, in addition to our existing projects, we will offer grant programs that provide funding to not only artistic and cultural groups, but also a variety of other bodies. We will also adopt a number of projects submitted in response to the Public Call for Project Proposals for Tokyo Tokyo FESTIVAL.
In particular, starting in FY2018, we will organize various projects that will form the core of the Tokyo Tokyo FESTIVAL, helping to foster a sense of excitement in the run-up to 2020.
We will implement multifaceted projects, including those focused on cultivating the personnel whose role is to link art with society and communities confronting social issues from an artistic perspective.
