This project creates new community values through interaction and exchange between local government, citizens and people inside and outside the city with the aim of realizing the “Kunitachi City Basic Plan for Promoting Culture and the Arts,” a scheme which champions the area as a city rich in culture and the arts. The project addresses latent social challenges in Kunitachi City and the Tama region through the creation of hubs and programs incorporating art and design perspectives.
