What we do

ACKT (Art Center Kunitachi)

Based on the “Kunitachi City Basic Plan for Promoting Culture and the Arts” which champions the area as a “city rich in culture and the arts,” this project uses art and design methods to develop a hub for creating new community exchange and activity. The project aims to build a platform for confronting latent social issues in Kunitachi City and the Tama region and undertaking diverse new culture creation activities through partnerships between citizens, local government, and leading figures in cultural and artistic fields inside and outside the city.

Events Information

Hub formation project

We will form a hub to serve as a platform for various local activities and information.
We will consider utilizing idle facilities and other locations in the area. Rather than stopping at one hub, we will create small hubs in the city and form a network from them.

Research and project communication

We will research the leaders and supervisors of arts and culture-related projects and their activities, and widely share our findings through talks and the creation of PR channels. We are also eyeing the possibility of archiving local history and cultural activities.
