Communication: Conversing using sign language (face-to-face course (6 sessions in total))

This is a face-to-face course in which participants can practice real communication in sign language through conversation based on likely on-site scenarios during art projects.
In role-playing exercises, participants will acquire skills in the sign language expressions and communication they wish to learn, such as event reception duties, showing people to their seats at exhibition halls and theaters, product description and sales assistance in shops, emergency and disaster assistance and response, helping people with vending machines and restrooms, etc.

*Priority will be given to people who participated in the 2022 course “Practice: Encountering sign language
*This program will be conducted in Japanese.

14,400 yen (6 sessions in total)

Around 10 persons (selection process scheduled)

Eligibility

– Priority given to participants of the course “Practice: Encountering sign language
– People who want to acquire sign language communication skills using basic sign language expressions they can put to use in on-site art project management (in aspects such as project description/explanation, reception duties, PR, etc.)
– People who want to broaden their horizons in terms of accessibility in art projects.
