This program aims to enhance Tokyo’s cultural appeal by passing on the traditional performing arts to the next generation and providing opportunities to learn about aesthetic sensibilities and respectful attitude to tradition cultivated by the world of the traditional performing arts. To this end, participating children will, over the course of several months, receive direct instruction from leading performers in the traditional performing arts, culminating in the presentation of their achievements in a formal way on stage. In addition, there will be a youth program aimed specifically at junior and senior high school students.
