Interesting facts for island novices
First, let’s learn what kind of place this island is. This course provides clear and simple explanations from the perspective of a teacher who lives and works on the island.

An informative walk around Miyakejima for island novices
In this course you’ll find out about some of the interesting charms of the island which you’re liable to overlook if you’re visiting without prior knowledge. We recommend attending the morning talk about the island first. Please wear comfortable shoes for walking. Canceled only in the event of heavy rain.
What to bring: a towel, a raincoat, cotton work gloves, a camera, something to drink

“Sora-Ami” so far, “Sora-Ami” from now on
“Sora-Ami” (Knitting the Sky) was born of an encounter with fishing net weaving on Miyakejima. Participants will hear a report on the project, which has been held in various locations and has changed slightly from place to place, and take part in a conversation and exchange of ideas on the future of Sora-Ami.
