Memorial Rebirth Senju 2018 Nishiarai: Seeking performers to be teen band/chorus members for a day!

Genre:
  • Kids / Youth ,
  • Art Project ,
  • Workshop

Take part in original Memorial Rebirth “bon-odori” dancing and chorus singing!

“Memorial Rebirth” is a performance art piece that transforms familiar locations and scenery with a profusion of soap bubbles.
Why not join our “teen band,” and enliven this event with a music and dance act and some singing? We welcome people with no experience of performing or singing!

Overview

(A) course
Daytime: the famous “Shabon Odori”

We perform a bon-odori traditional dance with lyrics that reflect local sights and memories. We’ll be practising the performing, singing and dancing beforehand.
On the day you’ll add to the festivities by showing the crowds how the dance goes, and getting them to join in the performance!
*If you want to play an instrument for the performance, please bring one along.

(B) course
Nighttime: A chorus add razzmatazz to a fantastical light show

Illuminated soap bubbles become beads of light filling the sky for Memorial Rebirth at night. Join this special one-off chorus and launch your voices into the night sky together with the bubbles.
