The Senju Pun-Filled Music Festival has since 2011 been exploring the connection between music and puns through a variety of concerts and workshops. Now, in FY2014, the time is ripe for the “1,010 People in Senju” project that has been the dream of the organizers since the project began. With performers invited from Thailand and Indonesia, with both traditional and original instruments, and with reference to the “Pun-Filled Music” repertoire developed so far, “1,010 People in Senju” will offer a variety of performances and events.

The first step in bringing this project to fruition is our kick-off event: “Come Together! 1,010 People in Senju”. We will look back at the history of the “Pun-Filled Music Festival”, and look at the potential of a performance involving 1,010 participants.

Anyone is welcome who loves music, or who loves puns, or who merely feels the attraction of “Pun-Filled Music”. No experience in music, or in puns, is necessary. Come and be one of the first of the “1,010 People in Senju”
