Nobel Prize laureate Elfriede Jelinek’s “Kein Licht.” series drew widespread acclaim when it was staged at F/T last year. The latest text in this series of Fukushima/Tohoku-inspired plays will be tackled by Akio Miyazawa, known for his investigations into the relations between modern urbanity and theatre.

Using the medium of Noh theatre, “Prolog?” will create an environment for exploring what has happened (the past) and how we can narrate it (the present).

The cast comprises five versatile actresses who have been leading performers in Japanese fringe theatre since the late 1970s.
