Text: Masataka Matsuda
Direction: Yukichi Matsumoto

Masataka Matsuda’s sci-fi melodrama inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky’s “Stalker” (1979) and other works.

Known for his numerous outdoor plays, Yukichi Matsumoto (Ishinha) creates a post-apocalyptic dramatic space.

Water Like Stone portrays the human drama surrounding characters who venture into a restricted “zone,” where memories rising from the disturbing stillness uncover truths about the here and now.
