Can a performance of “Music Falls Down from the Sky” be realized?!
The Senju Flying Orchestra has passed the baton from project founder, musician Otomo Yoshihide, to technical director Shiro Yamamoto, and has begun moving towards the realization of a new-look “Music Falls Down from the Sky” concert. This year the orchestra has visited events like Maker Faire Tokyo 2015 and Beppu Contemporary Art Festival Mixed Bathing World 2015, and continued research and experiments on kite structure. But the process of development is not easy. This coming January 16 the orchestra will report its results over a difficult year by holding a kite performance that came about from new ideas, and a presentation of research results, in which they will discuss advances made through trial and error so far. Why not fly a wondrous kite of music that falls down from the sky?
