Commencing a new project of the Connecting through Sound Art program.

Celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, Otomachi is launching a new initiative entitled “The Senju Connection Residency Program,” welcoming emerging artists who create their artwork in Senju.

Five artists boldly nominated by artists, curators, and writers active on the forefront of the contemporary art scene will converge on Senju this summer.

Having explored the town and conducted their research in advance, these emerging artists will gather together and reveal their proposals to bring to life this fall, showcasing aspects that can only be found in Senju!

What exciting plans will they unveil from the inspirations they experienced through the various encounters (connections) they made downtown?
All in attendance will join the expert panel of guest judges and the local judges who watch over Otomachi to select on this day a single artist to formally invite this fall.
