Discover a whole new world broadening with music across all ages—from infants to adults

Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Music Workshop was created based on our wish for “as many people as possible to come enjoy the wonder of music without making large efforts!” Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Music Workshop is a program with an objective to foster thriving spirits through the development of both communication and self expression skills, via the raising of interest in music and the arts. As a public cultural institute, we wish to provide a comfortable space where people can come together to enjoy music.

A secret gift from Sasha
Sasha came from Russia to visit you, bringing many souvenirs and music. Let’s enjoy Russia together!

[1] 10:30-11:15 (Check-in 10:00-10:20) 6-18 months, up to 2 companions
[2] 12:00-12:45 (Check-in 11:30-11:50) 19-35 months, up to 2 companions
[3] 14:30-15:15 (Check-in 14:00-14:20) Age 3-4, 1 companion

Maximum number of participants: approx. 11 per class
Venue: Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Rehearsal Room

Beginners and repeaters welcome! Find another you by singing and dancing with your flexible body and relaxing voice!

11:00-12:00 (Open 10:30) Age 50 and above (Free invitation for aged 65 and above)
* There are no tickets for companions.
* The workshop is programmed for persons aged 50 and above; however, adults aged 20 and up can also join.

To caregivers

Each workshop is prepared only for the admission ages. Small children excluding the admission ages such as participants’ siblings are not allowed to attend the workshop. Your understanding would be highly appreciated.

Notice to all workshop attendees

Please follow the below precautions. Your understanding and cooperation are much appreciated to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

  • Our staff members conduct temperature screening for all those who are entering the venue. If you have a fever of 37.5°C/99.5°F or higher, we ask you not to attend the workshop.
  • Refrain from coming to the venue if you seem to have symptoms such as a fever, cough, sneezing, sore throat, or simply not feeling well.
  • Bring your face mask to cover your nose, and mouth and show consideration for others.
  • Wash and disinfect your hands frequently. Hand sanitizers are placed at the reception desk.
  • We will partially change the seating arrangement and stage direction to maintain social distancing.
  • We will not have photo shooting after the workshop for the time being.

  • This workshop is conducted only in Japanese.
  • It requires some time for event insurance registration (the fee is included in the ticket) and for moving to the venue. Please allow enough time to get into the check-in place. Late-comers are not allowed to enter once the workshop starts.
  • Check-in place: “A secret gift from Sasha” [1] and :”Shall we sing?” Recital Hall, Foyer, “A secret gift from Sasha” [2] [3]: Meeting Room on the 4th floor (access from the stage door)
  • Photography and video recording may occur during the workshop for our publicity materials.
  • The admission ages are determined as of the actual date of the event.
  • There are certain movements for a pair of a child and a companion during the workshop “A secret gift from Sasha”. Please note that the staffs cannot assist in case 2 children participate with one companion.
  • Nursing room is available. (only classes for 6-18 months / 19-35 months)
  • Please join with easy-to-move outfits.
  • The program is subject to change under certain circumstances.
  • Child care service is available. (Reservation and fee required. A limited number of children is accepted.)
